    1. Hi Heather,
We do not do free consultations unfortunately. I would recommend looking through all the info on the web site and talking to our patient service reps, they will help guide you.

  1. Hi Dr, C
I’m an international student. I have insurance from my scholarship. The insurance is United Healthcare. Do you think the insurance covers Sleeve Gastrectom for me or not.

    1. Yes they may cover it but we would need to be sure you were able to remain in Cincinnati for at least 3 months after surgery.

    1. Results are good but patients must commit to a lifestyle change in order to insure long-term success. A healthy diet and regular exercise are very important!

  2. I was reading about hair loss after the gastric sleeve & my hair is very fine already. My surgery is set for August 6 & losing what hair I have is worrying me to death. What can I do to not lose my hair? And is there somewhere on your site where I can find what I am to start eating the 2 weeks prior to my surgery? I can’t find it & I am trying to put back money for everything.

    1. Hair loss with sleeve usually isn’t too bad as it is not a malabsorptive procedure like the bypass. Keeping your protein in the range where our dietitians recommend it is the first step in preventing, as well as following their vitamin and supplement recommendations.
